Cebu Mountain Tour: Itinerary and Budget

Cebu Mountain Tour 2019

Cebu is the very first place I visited on my first ever travel back in 2011 and since then I’ve been visiting this place for a few times already but on my last visit, I decided to do a Cebu Mountain Tour.

After our 2-Day Bohol tour, we went to Cebu and stayed at Maxwell Hotel. Spent our first day wandering around Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu IT park, and walked to Fuente Circle.

Planning the Tour

A few days before our trip I contacted Cebu Travel and Tours to arrange the tour. I decided to avail their Cebu Mountain Tour as I haven’t been to most of the places in the itinerary and less hassle since we have limited time.

Cebu Mountain Tour

Sirao Flower Garden

Our first stop is the so-called “Mini Amsterdam” that is attracting tourists, the famous “Sirao Flower Farm”. Our driver suggested going here first so it’s not crowded and we can take lots of pictures without or less photobombers. Celosia is the main flower grown in the farm, as well as other variety of flowers such as sunflower, chrysanthemum, daisy, and aster. A very instagrammable place! It is located in a mountain barangay just a few minutes from JY, Lahug, Cebu City.

Entrance Fee: Php100 per person

Buwakan ni Alejandra

Our second destination is the Buwakan ni Alejandra (Alejandra’s Flower Garden), another vibrant flower garden on the mountains of  Cebu. They are open from 7 am to 6 pm, Mondays to Sundays and located in Balamban, Cebu. Aside from the blooming flowers and the mountain view in the background, there’s nothing much to do here. So I enjoyed my time taking pictures and checking out those lovely flowers.

Entrance Fee: Php 55 per person

JVR’s Island in the Sky

Just right across the Buwakan ni Alejandra is the JVR Island in the Sky resort. This mountain resort is an ideal relaxing destination because of its breathtaking panoramic view of mountain charm, the cool atmosphere, and thrilling cable car ride for only Php 150. I enjoyed crossing the colorful hanging bridge.

Entrance Fee: Php 55 per person

West35

Lunchtime and our driver/tour guide suggested that we dine in West 35 Eco Mountain Resort, still situated on top of the mountainous Balamban, Cebu. From the picturesque 360-degree view of Balamban mountains to the delicious food served in the restaurant surely this place is the perfect venue if you’re looking for a fascinating sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city.  The place is relaxing and they also have a zip line and a playground that you’ll enjoy.

Entrance Fee: Php 80 per person

Temple of Leah

Reported as Philippines version of India’s famous Taj Mahal, a mesmerizing work of art as a symbol of one man’s undying love to his beloved wife. Back in 2012, a business tycoon Teodorico Adarna – the grandfather of the sexy actress Ellen Adarna, built a temple for her beloved wife for 53 years namely Leah V. Albino-Adarna. Located at Roosevelt Street, Barangay Busay, Cebu City.

Entrance Fee: Php 50 per person

Tops Skyline

And lastly, we end our day at the famous lookout point in Cebu, the Tops Skyline. It has been my third visit, so the place didn’t really have a wow factor for me but definitely a great place to chill while enjoying the city view. It is perfect if you go there late afternoon or evening to view the city lights.

Entrance Fee: Php 100 per person

OVERALL

The tour felt a bit boring though but it was a great experience to finally check out some famous tourist attractions in Cebu.  We had our Cebu Mountain Tour on a weekday so it’s not crowded and we got a lot of chance taking pictures without worrying for photobombers. I’m also grateful to our driver/tour guide for being so nice and accommodating. For the tour price, it’s quite pricey on our part but it’s ideal for a big group.

So if you’re going on a tour in Cebu, which place do you want to go visit first? I’d love to hear on the comment  section below.
