Hotel & Resort Review: Adrian and Alice’s Place in Bukidnon (Buda)

On the first weekend of February, we head on a road trip to Bukidnon to check out a resort famous for its “Shoe House” and our short escape from the city buzz. The place is called Adrian & Alice Place. It is located at Barangay Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon, Davao – Bukidnon Hwy.

Davao to Adrian & Alice's Place in Bukidnon

Adrian & Alice Place is about a two-hour drive from Davao City. The road going to Bukidnon is very picturesque that even before you reach your destination, the ride itself is already a wonderful attraction. Enjoy those mountains and relaxing green scenery along the way which makes the road trip extra fun!

This is a perfect spot if you’re looking for a place to relax, rejuvenate, meditate and unwind. Not too far from Davao City and just along the Davao-Bukidnon Road. Adrian & Alice’s Place is popular for its Shoe House. Since it’s located in Buda, the little Baguio of Mindanao, you can definitely experience the coolness of the air and be able to commune with nature while immersing yourself with the pine-scented breeze. A great place for bird watching as well.

OVERALL

For the location, scenery, and the weather, this place is just perfect! A great getaway from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the city. I enjoyed the cold breeze and even get to see the sunset from the shoe house.

When we get there it’s around 4 pm and we booked the Shoe House and Garden Room 3. For the shoe house, I wasn’t really blown away by it. I’m a bit scared on the staircase going up to the second floor especially if you have kids, it’s not safe. But aside from that, it’s a cool experience. We enjoyed chilling on the rooftop.

Now, for the Garden Room, I was very disappointed. It’s dirty! It looks like they did not clean it before we checked-in. There are some small creatures crawling on the floor of the comfort room. And below the beds are insects and dust. We end up looking for a broom to clean it up. Glad we found one even though the broom itself was old and dirty as well.

Thinking about the room rates, just a bit disappointed that they don’t offer basic toiletries and towels for their customers. But I do appreciate that they informed us upon booking.

We also explored the whole resort and checked out their hobbit houses. (Sorry forgot to take pictures) Overall, it’s still a good place to check out but the place still needs maintenance.
