Sirao Flower Garden is definitely one of the main attractions in Cebu. I’ve been there twice and thought I’d share my experience and some tips as well.
This place is a garden lover’s paradise that you can Instagrammed to your heart’s content. If you’re in instagram, let’s connect! Follow me @mywanderstory.
How To Get There?
To be honest, getting there is not a walk in the park if you are planning on commuting. So I’d really recommend renting a taxi or private car if you plan on doing a DIY tour. There are also some travel agencies you can book for tours, just like we did. It’s included in our City Tour and Mountain Tour.
But if you prefer commuting (ideal for solo traveler), the easiest and most common starting point is from the JY Square Mall (Supermart). From there you can see men with motorcycles who will be offering you a habal-habal ride. Don’t forget to haggle so you can bargain a lower price.
Remember this is a popular destination in Cebu so expect that this place can get crowded. It’s best to be there around 7 or 8 in the morning. We arrived there early so we had the chance to get the place all ours and right before we leave, people start coming.
Sirao Flower Garden
This beautiful garden is located in a mountain barangay just a few minutes from JY, Lahug, Cebu City.
When we went there back in January 2018 during Sinulog, the entrance fee was only Php 30 and the flowers just started blooming/growing. Unfortunately, they have just harvested the flowers for the Sinulog celebration.
Then I went back in February 2019 and the fee increased from Php 30 to Php 100. And that time, it’s much better than my previous one. The flowers are so beautiful and they continue to improve the place.
I am so excited to share about this spot again because they recently opened the Sirao Pictorial Garden and Camping Site (PGCS). Located just beside the original Sirao Flower Garden. Now, I have another good reason to visit this place again once I’m in Cebu.
Share in the comment below the place you want to visit in Cebu. I’d love to hear your wanderlust!
