Monday Motivation: 5 Female Travel Bloggers I Follow

Monday Motivation – my new blog series where I share anything and everything that inspires me that I might inspire you as well.

The idea of “Monday Motivation” started with my boss. When I started working as her virtual assistant 8 years ago, the first task she gave me was to complete a Monday motivation post. I have to gather 5 articles that I think will help motivate her readers in their career and businesses. She’s an awesome career and business coach by the way.

Monday is the best day to give ourselves some inspiration to motivate us to be better and start our week right.

I’ve shared on my previous post my list of 100 inspiring travel quotes, so I was inspired to start my Monday Motivation with the list of the women whom I followed for their travels and adventures.

The 5 Female Travel Bloggers I Follow

Ailene Adalid

Ailene of I Am Ailene

First on my list is the woman who inspired me the most to start my own travel blog. Ailene is a Filipina travel blogger who quit her corporate job at the age of 21 to follow her dream of traveling the world and building her own business. She shares her personal adventures and life story on her blog to show how it is absolutely possible to create a life of travel despite odds and circumstances.

I first heard about her over a post shared on my  FB feed from Elite Readers about a young Filipina makes a living by travelling the world and blogging about it back in 2016. And since then, I started following her and learning from her as well.

She proves that you can travel the 7 continents (yes, she has visited the 7 continents already, she’s incredible!) with your third-world passport. It proves that anything is possible if you believe and work for it.

Allison of Seeking Neverland

Another female travel blogger that has influenced many aspiring travelers, including me, is Allison of Seeking Neverland. Allison is a travelholic born and raised in Las Vegas. And being the creator and Chief explorer behind Seeking Neverland. Her goal is to help grown-ups (like me) find their way back to Neverland, one trip at a time. She shares travel guides and tips to help you live a fun and fulfilled life! Her travel and lifestyle blog combines fun adventures with elements of fashion, music, and tips for living your best life.

We met through Instagram! I’m proud to say I followed her when she only had about 2,000 followers and now (since I posted this post) she got over 21k. I’m not surprised because my love for her started from her Instagram photos. Sometimes I wish that I can edit photos and videos just like her. Her travels and adventures are as vibrant as her Instagram account. Loving her fun personality and inspiring articles.

Fun Facts about Allison: She loves Disneyland and she’s a Slytherin (…and I’m a Gryffindor. haha).

Kach of Two Monkeys Travel Group

Another amazing Filipina travel blogger that I follow is Kach Howe. Together with her husband, they started the Two Monkeys Travel Group, a travel blog, and website where they share their experience and knowledge about traveling since 2013. They have a unique travel style which is a blend of luxury and adventure.

While I was searching for visa advice, that’s when I came across Kach’s blog. It was one of the inspiring stories shared by her followers of how she was able to use Kach’s advice into getting a study visa to Canada and got approved!

And since then, I always check her blog for visa advice, itineraries, and hotel reviews.

Kiki of The Blonde Abroad

Thinking of a woman traveling solo to other countries sounds terrifying but Kiki bravely showed that you can. Kiki is from California and decided to leave her career in corporate wealth management back in 2012 to embark on a summer of soul searching that later on changed the course of her life forever. Her blog, The Blonde Abroad, has been the go-to website for every female who plans to travel solo.

When I searched for a female solo traveler, The Blonde Abroad was on the top of the list. I was planning to experience traveling abroad alone but I don’t have the confidence yet. I then googled for tips and guides. Kiki shares great advice from the different types of travels to solo traveling to packing tips.

Gael of The Pinay Solo Backpacker

Last on my list is another travel blogger from the Philippines, Gael Hilotin of The Pinay Solo Backpacker. Her blog started in 2010 aiming to inspire her readers to explore the Philippines and the world. Gael quit her job in 2012 to travel around the Philippines. She currently visited 81 provinces in the Philippines.

I was able to find her blog when I was searching for a travel budget and backpackers guide. I always travel on a budget and I’m so excited that Gael’s blog inspire me that it’s possible. And I’m currently exploring and featuring my country in my blog so I love to read her posts as reference.

Overall

These five ladies and their amazing stories encourage me and fellow females who dreamed of living a life of travel. I hope they inspire you the way they did to me.

Traveling may sound scary sometimes especially for us women and even doing it solo. But doing your research, get advice from blogs like those mentioned above will definitely help.
