Blue Bless Beach Resort in Mati: Review & Guide

Blue Bless Beach Resort was the first resort I visited in 2017, so I want to start my blog with my first adventure of the year!

Traditionally, most Filipinos welcome the New Year with their families. This year, I spent it with my best friend, her husband, and his family in the beautiful town of Lupon, Davao Oriental. It was indeed an amazing experience, and everyone made me feel so welcome.

A few days before, my best friend and I decided to spend the first day of the year at Blue Bless Beach Resort in Mati, about 45 minutes from Lupon based on our trip. I was so excited to share this adventure on my blog!

Blue Bless Beach Resort is located in Sitio Pitugo, Barangay Bobon, Mati City, Davao Oriental, Philippines.

The Pool

Whether you’re visiting for a day tour or staying overnight, one of the things we enjoyed at Blue Bless Beach Resort was its swimming pool area. There was a pool for adults and a separate pool for little kids, so families had options for enjoying their time in the water.

During our visit in January 2017, the entrance fee was ₱100 for adults and ₱50 for children. These are the prices I recorded at the time, so please check with the resort for its current rates before visiting.

Convenience Store, Restaurants, Disco Bar & Videoke

The resort also had several facilities where guests could spend time beyond swimming.

There was a restaurant beside the pool, a bar near the beach, and an area with videoke and billiards. We also saw stairs leading down to the beach area and more cottages.

It is open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and 24 hours during weekends and holidays. There was also an open disco every Friday and Saturday at the time.

Rooms & Cottages

There were different rooms and cottages to choose from, depending on your budget and whether you planned to visit for the day or stay overnight.

Blue Bless Cottages — The small, colorful cottages looked perfect for day-tour guests.

Blue Bless Villa — If you prefer a little luxury, the resort also had a villa with its own pool. If I remember correctly, the rate was around ₱10,000 per night, although I wasn’t certain of the exact price even then.

Blue Bless Overnight Room — We stayed overnight, so we booked a family room. At the time, it cost ₱6,000 per night and was suitable for around six to seven people.

Our Experience at Blue Bless Beach Resort

I really had a great time on this trip. From the swimming pools and cottages to the overnight stay, it was a lovely way to start the year with my best friend and her family.

Based on what I experienced during our visit, the resort was a nice option for family and group outings. The different cottages, the views of the ocean, and the chance to stay overnight made the trip more enjoyable for us.

I remember thinking that I wanted to come back because there was still more to explore. It was one of those trips that left me wanting another visit.

A Quick Stop at the Famous Sleeping Dragon

After our visit to Blue Bless Beach Resort, we made sure to stop and take photos of the famous Sleeping Dragon in Mati. 🙂

It was a nice way to end our trip, and of course, I couldn’t leave without taking a few pictures!

It was a memorable start to 2017, and I’m grateful I got to share the experience with people who made me feel at home.
